WRITTEN TESTIMONIALS
PIP TAYLOR
( Professional Triathlete )
“Socks sometimes seem like a very small thing - almost a forgotten
part of the wardrobe, but not for an athlete. As a professional triathlete
training multiple times a day, every day, it means a lot of changes of clothes,
a lot of changes of shoes and a lot of different types of training. I love
being able to find the perfect sock for whatever training session I have
planned - and yes there is a different perfect sock for a cycle session, a long
run or a fast work out on the track, and another yet again for recovery. LIN
Performance Socks cover all of these bases. They are truly the most comfortable
socks I have ever used - I have never had a blister, any slipping or chaffing
and when you rely on your feet to carry you to the finish line as part of your
job then that is crucially important. The other thing that I love about LIN is
that while they have the fit, function and comfort requirements covered - they
also keep things fun and funky with endless custom colors and designs. And let’s
face it when you are tired and heading out the door for another workout
anything that can put a smile on your face has got to be a good thing!"
SARAH
HASKINS ( Professional Triathlete and 2008 Olympian )
"As
a Triathlete I train for three different sports...well, four
including strength training and transition practice! Minus the swimming,
my feet take a beating, but fortunately, I have discovered LIN socks to
help give my feet the extra support they need to go the distance in my running
and cycling. I love the wide variety of socks....Wooleez for winter
time when my feet need the warmth and Coolmax socks for all those hot summer
runs, just to name a few selections. The Silkeez are light and form fitting so
that I am to fit them inside my flats for hard training...leaving my feet
blister free! Blisters can be a deterrent to my training
and racing, so eliminating the problem with LIN socks is keeping my
feet and me healthy and happy!"
“I have worn the compression socks and find
them very comfortable and do work for the compression needs.”
JOE UMPHENOUR ( 2nd place winner at the 2008 USAT Elite
National Championships )
“I just arrived in Seattle after
driving through the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks in
Wyoming. I wore the Lin socks the whole way to test them out for a cross
country drive. The Wooleez were my choice in
the parks because I knew it would be both chilly and warm at times
and I wanted something that could comfortably handle both. I usually get
a little itchy with any wool against my skin, even merino. I don't think I
ever even thought of my feet while I was hiking around bison and geysers,
which tells me they were doing a splendid job. My feet were
never cold, sweaty, or uncomfortable the whole time I was there.
Well done, Lin socks!”
KATE ROSS (Professional
Triathlete)
“The socks are terrific! The compression socks
have really helped reduce swelling I had in my ankle after irritating the
joint. Not long after I started wearing them for all of my run and bike
workouts and even walking, the swelling went down significantly. The doctors
at the sports medical center at the CSOTC noticed the swelling in my ankle
decrease and thought the socks could be making the difference. I work at a
local coffee shop and spend about 7 hrs on my feet. I've been wearing the
compression socks under my jeans and have noticed that my feet and calves don't
feel quite so "heavy" or sore the next day. The silkez
socks are so comfy and soft, I love wearing them for running in warm weather.
Recently, the weather has gotten colder in Colorado Springs and I had a chance
to put on the woolez socks. They were great, my feet
stayed warm but they didn't get uncomfortably warm. I really enjoy the quality
of the LIN socks, it is clear that the socks are made with material that can
handle the demands an athlete puts on it. Thank you Angelo for sending me
some great socks! I really have been wearing these socks constantly :) They are
great! Thanks again!”
Jennifer
Spieldenner (Professional Triathlete)
The Silkeez are so light and comfortable
I barely felt like I was wearing socks!
I have had a lot of trouble with my socks falling down while running
causing me to get blisters on my heels. When I ran in the Arch support socks
that was not a concern at all! They stayed right in place and gave me support
and comfort! The Coolmax socks are just plain
comfortable! I have worn them for biking and running and truly love them! With
all the designs that are available you will be sure to find a pair that suits
your personality! I love, love, love
running in the cold, but it can sometimes be uncomfortable with my poor
circulation to my feet. I have tried multiple types of cold weather socks and I
haven’t been able to find a pair that has treated my feet as well as the Wooleez! I know my feet with be nice and toasty warm now
that I own a pair of Wooleez! I wore the Airlift socks on my long run and I
honestly felt like I had extra support throughout the run. For someone like me
who has had a lot of running injuries all the extra support I can get is much
needed!
KELSEY WITHROW ( ITU Professional Triathlete)
"I love
Lin Socks for the fashion and comfort. They are great for running,
cycling and even with everyday activities. My favorite socks
are the Compression series. I use them during
and after training so that my legs stay happy, healthy and injury free. I
also love that there are so many styles to chose from
which is different from most athletic sock companies. Everyone should own
a few pairs of Lin Socks"
DANE RAUSCHENBERG ( Extreme Athlete - Author - Speaker )
“One of the most obvious pieces of equipment we as athletes (more specifically, runners) need is our shoes. (Granted, the barefoot runners would disagree but they still buy the Vibrams now don’t they?) We spend plenty of time finding the perfect shoe for us, the proper weight and size and, perhaps if we care a little about style, might look for the snazziest colors and bells and whistles. All sated, we are happy. Then we jam just about any sock we have in the drawer onto our foot without so much as thinking. Seems pretty illogical but humans are, on the whole I have found, a pretty illogical species (and for those who call it the “male species” when you are trying to make a funny gender joke, please consult a dictionary.)
I spend a great deal of time product testing. Not necessary at the behest of any company or product in particular but because I am always looking what fits me best for my athletic endeavors. And by “fit best” I mean a balance between performance and cost. For things that will last hopefully years (cars, bikes, etc.) I can swallow my frugal pride and lay out a few more dollars. Items which last far less, and take a severe beating and therefore are needed to be replaced more often require me to look at both how they work and how they make my wallet lighter.
Fortunately for me, I found the perfect combination between substance style and cost when it comes to that piece of material between the oh-so-researched shoe and my oh-so-pounded upon foot. From now on, when I reach into my sock drawer I don’t need to worry much which pair of socks I am pulling out as I will always be pulling out Lin socks.
I am beginning to diversify my athletics. Primarily a road runner for years, I am taking to trails more often now. Just a “marathoner”, if you will, I am testing the waters in sprints and ultras to balance out the scale. Basically looking at nothing but running, I am venturing into triathlons, adventure sports and the entire gamut. And with me will be my Lin socks. I find them to be comfortable, lightweight and breathable. I find myself never thinking about them when I wear them and really, isn’t that the point of socks?
Fortunately for me, my path has crossed with that of those at Lin socks and I am proud to be a sponsored Lin Socks athlete. After trying a plethora of brands these appear to be the ones I will not be deviating from wearing anytime soon. You too should get them a test run. Your feet deserve it. Think of all they do for you. Pay them back.”
JULIANNE:
I ran St George Marathon this year and found these socks at the expo. I
was very worried about trying something new on race day, but I had the worst
problem with blisters. My last marathon before St George, I think we
counted 9! (And that was fewer than before!) I tried everything from no
pedicures to having pedicures, from gels to powder, from socks to different
shoes. Everything someone suggested I tried, even putting pads in my
shoes so they could absorb the excess (even though I did not think my feet were
really sweaty)... so I tried everything. Race day, I put on your socks
and I had to admit, they felt great. I thought even if they don't prevent
the blisters I will like wearing these around town. At the end of the marathon
it was the moment of truth. As I took off my shoes I knew NO
BLISTERS!!! I was so excited. Later that month I took my socks to
Athens Greece and ran the 2500th anniversary marathon and once again NO
BLISTERS! It was not just a fluke your socks worked! I really can't
thank you enough. I am totally sold and have told our local running store
that they should carry them.
The nice thing about runners is that we share our success stories with our
friends and I have told many people that ask how to get rid of blisters to try
your socks. Thank you for giving me a blister free marathon (2 and counting)
JAMIE:
"Ok People....I played
tennis in the Lin arch support socks. Guess what?! I have to make a
public apology for dissing these socks and the size. so..... I am sorry....
I take it all back. These socks are amazing. They NEVER slipped
below the heel ...they hugged my foot the entire time. Never stretched
out...no blisters no hot spots. Buy some today!!! My husband played
in his socks and yep...loved them as well....he wore....winged tech. Sorry Mr.
Lin Sock Man. You rock. Now.... if you could just help me with my
tennis game ....."
DONDI:
“I am a 29 year-old, very slow (by choice as much as by effort) female runner who has run 2 half marathons and 2 full marathons in the past 5 years. I will be participating in the Denver Half Marathon at the Cherry Creek Reservoir on September 12 and the Denver Rock N Roll Marathon (although I am bummed that it has become a "rock n roll" instead of the regular Denver Marathon) on October 17. My running career began when I started running on my school's varsity cross-country team at the age of twelve. I'm a bit of an odd runner, in that I don't care about time, or PRs, or winning, I just want to be comfortable and feel good running. Also, I live in Boulder, where running is a requirement of citizenship. ;) I have worn DeFeet Aireators, Balegas, and supposedly the king of all running socks, the dual-layer WrightSocks, for years. I also have experimented with cheaper brands. I love the Silkeez because they fit smoothly and perfectly from the first time I pulled them over my feet. They wick moisture beautifully and felt phenomenal even with a triple blister between 2 of the toes on my right foot...ouch! Their cooling mesh added an extra oomph to my almost-entirely-outer-mesh Mizuno running shoes and kept my feet nice and cool for as long as possible during my morning runs. Finally, they are long enough so that they don't slip down under my heels when I run. This has been a huge problem for me and I love that they fix that. I am also an avid rock climber and must say I enjoy wearing them with my rock shoes. Most climbers don't wear socks with shoes because they decrease the "feel" of the rock to their feet; I love the Silkeez because they are thin enough so as not to interfere with "feeling" the rock surface I'm climbing yet wick moisture away nicely and therefore help me climb better.”
LEIGH:
“I recently bought a couple pairs
of socks at the suggestion Dane Rauschenberg, an athlete whose blog I
follow. I am comfortable following
Dane's suggestions on things like this - and after a fantastic 50 mile ride
this weekend in my new socks I was as satisfied as I thought I would be. Great performance socks! And, the fact that they are colorful and all
covered in smiley faces just adds to the fun!”
DAWN:
“Hello there! I have a pair of Lin
socks and I feel are the best fitting cycle socks I have ever owned. They are
thin, white, with turquoise toe and heel and a narrow red band below the
turquoise on the low-cut ankle. I appreciate the lin-toe design and really love
these socks- I bought 9 pair. Thank you for making such a high quality product!”
ROXANNE:
“Not sure if you remember me but I met you at the Expo in
San Francisco. I told you of my problem that I have tried more than a
dozen of different socks and shoes because I kept getting blisters.
So you told me to try a pair of yours and then let you know. Well....they
passed!! For the first time, I ran a long run and did not get a huge
blister that lasted for a couple of weeks. I am so impressed and need to
get more!!
You
were right, so thank you. I will forever be a fan and I will make sure to
share with others that complain of blisters. So where can I buy
more? I live in Utah so please let me know of a distributer that carries
your product.”
ALLEN:
“I love my LIN socks. They have been fantastic and still fit
properly after 4000 miles in them. I even wear them at the fire station!”
KRIS:
“I recently bought several pairs of your running and
biking socks. I LOVE THEM! Not only do they fit and feel great, but
I got a SERIOUSLY sweet deal. My daughter went back to buy more because
we liked them so much and got an even better deal.”
RITA:
“Yea weekend of hiking in LIN socks best parts..... 1) no blisters (by far best part of three days 40+ lbs on back and miles and miles of hiking, and elevating gain) 2) by the end of the 3 days the socks still fit and were not 3 sizes too big 3) kept my feet cool during the day and the second pair kept them warm at night!”
"Hey Lin Socks! I'm loving
your products more and more. I use nothing but LIN Socks for both work and
play! Just ordered 10 more pairs. :-)"
MONICA
“I used the
performance ones for my long run this morning and they kept my feet dry. Loved
it! Also used the compression after and I'm quite surprised how well they seem
to work. My... legs are surprisingly light despite the high intensity of
today's run. I'm a convert!”
BRIAN
“I am wearing your socks today in LOTOJA, I love them!”
HEIDI
“What
I like about socks, beside comfort of course, is color and fun. I like socks
that make me smile when I put them on. I like that socks allow me to express
myself in a subtle way.
I like when I find two socks that match but I don't mind two different socks as
long as they are the same style. Those are my thoughts about socks!”
BRYCE
“I love my Lin Compression socks! Slept in them last night! My legs feel great!”

“I live in England in a place called North
Somerset. I am 42 and work in food retail. I only started running about
four year ago as was getting fed up of being overweight and just spending all
my social life in the pub. Luckily, a lady at work was training to be a
personal trainer and said she would help me lose some weight and get ready for
my first race. The weird thing is up to that point in my life I had never run
but as soon as I got on a treadmill I loved it. I was so happy the day I did my
first 3 miles and so was my personal trainer friend and she said why not train
for a half marathon. At first, I thought she was mad as I thought I’ve just ran
3 miles now you want me to train to do 13 miles. From late June that year until
March the next year I trained really hard and did the Bath Half Marathon wasn’t
the fastest time ever but was so happy I did it and I didn’t care. Ever since
that day I have loved running I’ve done 6 half marathon now and a few 10K’s. I
have not done a full marathon yet but will do next year. My dream is one day to
do an ultra. The reason I got to try your socks is from a truly awesome lady
and friend Lisa Buohler, she sent me a pair in the post. It was my first run in
them today (9/15/10) and loved them my feet normally get very hot but
didn’t seem to today so I am very happy. They felt very comfortable as soon as
I put them on. Will be buying so more soon.”

“I just wanted to update you in regards to the golf socks! My husband wore them yesterday to golf in, and he loved them! He liked the fact that they were not "fluffy" and easy to get on his golf shoes. They were cool and very comfortable!!!(It was 111 degrees yesterday and 107 today!!) He really liked them, so we will be ordering more of them! I asked him if he would recommend the socks to his "golf buddies" and he said, "of course"!!! I absolutely love the cotton ribbed Compression socks!! Feels great on the tired legs!”
